Hi! I must have missed the notification for this! Here is an explanation of the method behind the madness to help you better understand why we do what we do as far as YouTube vs online releases. Hope it helps!
Hi! We are actually not able to make money from YouTube from 99% of our videos because we use popular music, so copyright claims prevent us from being able to monetize them. BOO! We would be rolling in the money if we could. There are a small handful that we are able to monetize that don’t use popular music like the cooking videos, shoe video, nutrition video, etc as well as 3 videos we have released that are not on the Online Subscription that use royalty free music. Other than that, we don’t make money except for advertisements. That’s why we teamed up with built bar otherwise the only revenue we collect from our videos is through the online subscription and at this time, we are still growing as much as possible, but it’s just not enough to cover all of the costs and pay the bills. We are so thankful for our online subscribers!!!! The main benefit of a subscription is that MOST of the time when we post a video to YouTube that is also released on The Studio Online, it only includes about 1/2-3/4 of the songs. It may not appear that way, but if you look at the length of the workouts, you will see that most of them are not the complete playlist. At the end of the workout, it says “if you would like to see the rest of this workout, click the link in the description to rent, buy, or subscribe,” and that directs them here! There should only be 3 workouts on YouTube that are not on The Studio Online (because the music is royalty free, so it’s not something we would typically choose to workout to). Also, another HUGE benefit of The Studio Online are The Fix videos. These are not available (for the most part) on YouTube. There are so many class formats we have to offer that have not made their way to YouTube yet. I also have a lot of future plans on how to continue improving the interaction of the online subscription with weekly videos of tips and talks from me so that we can connect more as a community. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions/requests, etc! I am always here to help explain the bigger picture because I know it can be difficult to understand. 💜💜💜
